• graphics - NVDarwin 128MB (replace 128 with your graphics memory size). nVidia is best, as Apple has some problems with ATI - no drivers for ATI, and ATI was leaving a trail of artefacts after the cursor.
• audio - AppleAC97Audio.kext - not included in the build, find it online
• DVD, USB, FireWire - work out of the box
• Ethernet - should work by itself; if not, unplug the cord and plug it back in; if don't want unplugging, it should start working within minutes. If doesn't, look for kext (note: AppleIntel8255x.kext caused kernel panic - I ended up removing it manually).
• To remove a bad kext manually, enter -s at the loader prompt for single user mode. Once in single user mode (text console), enter:
• mount -uw /
• sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/<Bad Kext Name>.kext
• and reboot.

First 20 tries: I could not make it work. Secret=Fully read Iatkos welcome screen. Secret=if unsure, leave the install package unselected, fail, read the logs & try again. Tried Netkass latest cutie booty, and funny "bag of hurt" says I have to upgrade my firmware. (Netkas is the best). Note: For some reason, If during registration the user creates no password, everything fails. I could not find any InsanelyMac references to this issue. If you transfer settings it fails. Do not Time Machine or fails.

• Insanely advised I flashed BIOS (someone else's patched ROM) and my mobo died. Had Clear CMOS twice & remove batery. I re-flashed original version 0402. So DO NOT flash with someone's ROM . (if you are going to flash an edited bios , edit it yourself. Read Evosx86)
• ICH10R working select Iatkos kext / WLAN no kext needed=Installs native as Airport Extreme (chipset is Atheros) / LAN L1E Gigabit=After you are 10.5.7.good install Attansic (kexts.com/backup/index.php?controller=Motherboard&mID=224) / MSI Nvidia: select Iatkos top Nvidia kext & VGA/DVI or DVI/VGA string. This will give you DVI/VGA 1920x1080@60Hz with Core Image Software & Quartz Extreme Not Supported. After 10.5.7.good, then Install Pcwiz OSx86 Tools Utility and enable Quartz GL. Sound select Voodoo HDA iatkos kext. SPDIF connected to Nvidia works but with faint pops/cracks now here and then, so rather use back/front sound outputs, and disconnect SPDIF from Nvidia. Asus noise filter works in Windoze but not in OSX (Does the "bag of hurt" fully supports HDMI with High Def. sound?).

After 10.5.8 upgrade MSI Nvidia N9500GT-MD1G-OC will be: Chipset Model:nVidia GeForce 9500 GT/Bus:PCIe /PCIe Lane Width:x16/VRAM (Total):1024 MB/Vendor:NVIDIA (0x10de)/Device ID:0x0640/Revision ID:0x00a1/ROM Revision:0x/Resolution: 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz/Depth:32-Bit Color/Core Image:Hardware Accelerated/Quartz Extreme:Supported/HDMI=1280X720 0r 1080i (the three outputs are simultaneously active, nvidia no green). HDMI:1280X720 looks soft. HDMI:1080i looks like crap (looks good in Windoze though)/DVI and VGA look awesome.

• Hardware RAID, the good: No need to worry, it works from BIOS, invisible to os. OSX thinks 2x500GB Samsung 2.5 inch drives = 1 hard drive (DriveXpert HDD0 Capacity 931.52 GB Model: DriveXpert HDD0Revision:1.1615 Serial Number: CP-5723_12345678_0_F Native Command Queuing:Yes Queue Depth:32 Removable Media: No.) The bad: RAID 0 "Drive Expert" performance is kind of good... but not spectacular. (7200rpm "green" notebook drives story, not the fastest). I have not meassured drives throughput yet. Select Iatkos JMicron SATA/IDE kext. IDE0 old-tivo-drive is good, ESATA recognized as JMicron AHCI-3 Gigabit-Version 1.00. Have not tried to hot swap ESATA yet. Speedstep works. Sleep is bad (using S1). Shutdown/Restart working select OHR kext. Osx 10.5.7 or 10.5.8 says it is 64bits MacPro native install. ****Does it work out of the (iAtkos) box?**** Most features do.

Regarding power-off issue

I installed openhaltrestart.kext but it did not work. I had a hunch since I dual boot with XP there were two NTFS partisions that automatically mounted on Leopard startup so I searched and I learned about /etc/fstab file and after adding noauto to my ntfs UUIDs leopard shut-downs okay. You can also see it here fstab.

Restart never fixed still I use hard reset.

Tips

• I install on 1 Sata HDD connected to sata0. I have secondary Sata HDD connected to sata1 with Windows Vista(unpluged during installation). I have 1 Sata DVD connected to sata2. I have 1 Pata HDD set to cable select. All boots fine. Jmicron is being a good boy this time!
• Use pacifist to suck anything else from other hackintosh dvd's.
• Sleep not working for me yet. Shutdown and restart works.

AMD 790GX AMD SB750 Chipset

• @Install runs fine with normal bios settings, however if you are using a SATA HD; when it comes to booting the installed OS, you must enable AHCI in the bios (integrated peripherals > SATA controller > then change IDE mode to AHCI) and have your SATA hard drive in the first SATA port or the system hangs on apple loading screen claiming it cannot fine the system install. Not sure what happens with IDE disks. I also set ACPI to S3 mode beforehand, not sure if it helps with this board or not but I know it effects many boards. I never ran into ACPI issues.

• Install Method: Kalyway OSX V10.5.2 DVD + iDeneb 10.5.8 Combo update
• Kernel: Vanilla
• Graphics: Nvidia 8800GTX 768Mb PCIe (works (CI/QE) with kalyway's nvinject kext on 10.5.2, used EFIstudio to make CI/QE work on 10.5.8. Onboard ATi ES1000 works but poorly (didnt try to find kext for it, not concerned about 16Mb graphics ;) .
• Audio: Digidesign 003 CoreAudio driver (works OOB)
• Firewire: Creative SB Audigy. Audio hardware untested but firewire bit works OOB. (003 interface connects thru firewire)
• LAN: 2 x Intel GbE works with standard kalyway kexts OOB.
• 6 x SATA and 6 x USB work OOB
• Sleep, shutdown and restart work
• On the reboot after the Combo update, system will load (apple screen) then reboot itself again. Only does this once, then everything is sweeeeeeeeet.

All cores working

• Voodoo Kernel 9.5.0 with Seatbelt Fix from iDeneb 10.5.8
• For cool'n'quiet support use GenericCPUPowerManagement.kext with GenericCPUPMControl.app from iDeneb 10.5.8 DVD.

iDeneb 1.6 generic ATI driver produced artifacts

• Installed with iDeneb v1.6 10.5.8 Lite; GT200 Drivers From DVD
• Installed Myhack 1.0.1 and now working but Without QE/CI.

• Installed with iDeneb v1.6 10.5.8 Lite; NVEnabler and GT200 2F16 EVGA drivers selected.
• Manual install of 18.5.2f16_quadro_mac_osx.dmg and Enabler_for_Nvidia_and_multiple_ATI_cards.pkg failed.

• Only EFI string needed you can get it from Here
• Both DVI output working

Graphics enabler works but it doesn't recognize the card or use the full capabilities of the card such as dual monitors.

• Delete new Ge*.kext, NVD*.kext and install from 10.5.5 9f23installer.pkg, set custom GFX Strings(VRAM,NVCAP) use OSX86Tools, replace CoreGraphics.framework from 10.5.5
• DVI, VGA - work. TVout - not tested

• You need to use this 2 installers: NUI Punk's 92, delete NVInject and install first NVIDIA Universal Installer next Punk's 92 NVIDIA Installer. Reboot (if you have problems with QE etc. run OSX in -f mode)
• D-Sub, DVI and Component working
• Works with most NVIDIA cards (5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 series)

• Installed using iATKOS v7's nvinject and EFI String. Don't know if both are really needed at same time.
• VGA - work. DVI - not tested

Installed with iATKOS v7 (changed NVCAP after upgrade to 10.5.8)

2) After that OSX successfully booted with any of (and I guess any other) NVdarwin and NVinject (check that IOProbeScore is set to 0 in Info.plist) - had to do this step to be able to do the next one since I couldn't boot even in safe mode without injectors. You may stop here if you like, HW acceleration is already supported, but I like EFI way more, so here is the next step.

3) Used OSx86Tools to add EFI string and removed all injectors.
