I plan to test GMA900 with Oni under Windows to verify that this is a Mac-specific problem ::: Using ATI X1600, 1600x1200 was extremely playable, everything looks fine - nothing seems to be corrupted. Even the cursor remains intact when you quit the game! Reccommended. ::: NOT WORKING on 10.4.6 (SSE3) with Radeon x1800XT and Borisbadenov v3.2 drivers. Game Name: WipeOut 2097
Working: Yes
Playable: Yes
Tested Resolutions: 1024x768
Graphics Card: GMA950
Audio: Yes
Networking: Not tested
OS X Version: 10.4.8
Game Version: 1.3
Notes: Appears to play fine (only tested single-player first level and menus, though). Note that you need to download the latest 1.3 patch [1] which provides a Mac OS X binary (the original version is for Mac OS 9). The maximum resolution allowed by the game is 1024x768, so this is probably the best choice. The initial videos don't appear to play smoothly, though.

[edit] World of Warcraft

Game Name: World of Warcraft
Working: Yes
Playable: Yes
Tested Resolutions: 1024x768(windowed) 1280x1024(fullscreen) 1280x800
Graphics Card: GMA900 NVIDIA 8600 M GT (256 MB VRAM)
Audio: Yes
Networking: Yes
OS X Version: 10.4.5 10.5.6
Game Version: 1.10.2 (1.9.3 added Intel native support) 3.0.8a
Notes: (this is an Intel Native game but there is no "Intel Games (section)" so I put it here, Anyway) Works great at full detail kinda choppy compared to a true 3D accelerator but still completely playable! 1GB ram minimum due to IF (Ironforge) or ORG (Orgrimmar) lag (if you know what that means)
Runs also good with a NVIDIA 8600 M GT (256 MB VRAM) + 2 GB RAM without problems except of some small lags in Dalaran.

11/28/10 Note: Cataclysm update requirements are :

(note lack of PPC mention)

Mac® OS X 10.6.4 or newer: - Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor - NVIDIA® GeForce® 9600M GT or ATI Radeon™ HD 4670 or better - 4 GB system RAM
