Talk:Apple's EFI implementation

We should avoid explicty associating EFI with any kind of DRM scheme and specifically the TPM chip as they imply a DMCA violation and hence would violate this board's policy. I purpose that we clearly indicate that EFI is merely the next generation of system firmware technology and is replacing BIOS. It is not known to have any specific role in Apple's DRM scheme and even it does, we still need to study EFI Macs to do boot other operating systems. ~bofors 19:57, 20 January 2006
