Didn't work for me- it doesnt say NVIDIA anywhere in the file- thought I had the AC97 chipset but maybe not??

ive tried this every which way, but i cant get it to work...ive tried multiple linux live distros to get the vendID and devID (its 0x24c58086 - infact this is default under ICH 4) ....but i added it to the NVIDIA string anyway, and in every way possible and still nothing.....ive got everything else working (mad props to all the patch makers). please help! make one last patch (audio) please! then wireless (hehe)


The same thing happened to me with the original guide (but it works now!)


A driver compatibility layer for PowerPC (eg. a patch to use powerpc OSX drivers in OSx86) would be much more useful. Drivers for all my peripherals are only for PowerPC.


YES!!!! HAHAHAHA i got it working...i had to delete all Appleintel and ATI kext files and i got it to load non-safe mode and now it all works

I don't have the AppleAC97Audio.kext!?

HI i´m tried but don´t work my vendor id is its 0x24c58086. After wrote kextload AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext show me these

kextload: /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext/Contents/AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext: no such bundle file exists can't add kernel extension AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext (file access/permissions) (run kextload on this kext with -t for diagnostic output)

what´s the problem??????????.

Entered :sudo -s and got this: sudo: can't stat /private/etc/sudoers: No such file or directory

I dont have audio, my card seems to be there but no sound; it says line out on the midi control config; my soundcard Id is Conexant AC-Link Audio; ICH4 VEN_8086, DEV_24C5. So its 0x24C58086 and the kext file shows exactly this info.

My computer is a gateway laptop p4 3.06 Ghz.

The AppleAC97Audio.kext seems to load fine but as I said before, I got no audio. help pls!

My sound card is soundMAX digital Audio and the vendor id is 8086, dev id is 24c5. I run kextload and got the following error. Pls tell me what I can do with detail command. Thank you very much!!!

Try buying a USB 2.0 TO 3D AUDIO SOUND CARD ADAPTER VIRTUAL 5.1 on Ebay...will give u crappy sound, but ti works.
