System (NOVA)

  • CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3700 (San Diego)
  • M/B: DFI LanParty Ultra-D
  • RAM: Corsair Pro TwinX 2x512MB DDR PC3200
  • GPU: XFX nVidia GeForce 7800GT
  • LCD: Dell 17" Flat Panel Display

Compatibility

  • Installation: Perfect. OSX installed at end of partitioned HDD.
  • Graphics: Partial. nVidia Alpha Driver working. No acceleration, CoreImage or Quartz as of yet. See MacVidia Project Wiki.
  • Audio: Perfect. Used custom nForce 4 driver. See Audio.
  • Networking: Incompatible! Could not use the built in nForce 4 ethernet on the motherboard (nVidia nForce Ethernet Controller). PCI network card in use.
  • Stability: It's pretty stable, there are some application crashes when there's too much going on, but otherwise it's very smooth. I can't even imagine what it'll be like with my 7800GT running!
