the one linked (misses 3pix - already emailed him 2 weeks ago) has a few things different
enabled alpe and asp in ide settings
disabled firewire and lan for some reason
enabled plug and play bios
disabled max cpu value limit
and only god knows what these other pictures say that are not accessible anymore
would be interesting to find out what really to change and what not in the bios settings
NEW DISTROS:
unfortunately the new distros like ipc10.5.6 or iatkos5i wont install THAT easily - a lot of testing is required - i would recommend going the 132/munky way (guide linked)
iatkos wont even boot - ipc works but no firewire until now - i keep testing http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=146338
downloading ideneb1.4 aswell maybe that one does the trick

guide for getting networking, usb, and audio working on a ASUS P5W-DH Deluxe motherboard on JaS 10.4.8 DVD
get the following from here and install it, up to you to fix permissions after you've installed them: http://rakis.net/~justin/p5w-dh
for audio, get AppleAzaliaAudio.kext.zip, unzip and put the kext in your /System/Library/Extentions/ (remove old one first and remove/backup AppleHDA.kext
for network get IONetworkingFamily.kext.zip, unzip and put the kext in your /System/Library/Extentions/ (remove old one first)
fix permissions :
sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extentions/AppleAzaliaAudio.kext
sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extentions/AppleAzaliaAudio.kext
sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extentions/IONetworkingFamily.kext
sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extentions/IONetworkingFamily.kext
cleanup kext caches :
sudo rm /System/Libary/Extensions.kextcache
sudo rm /System/Library/Extensions.mkext
then unzip IOUSBFamily-261.4.2_Intel.pkg.zip and install the package.
reboot and everything should be working (audio, both ethernet ports, USB).
