This is a component level hardware compatibility list. We want to keep it as accurate as possible, but please, do not entirely rely on this list when buying hardware. Add which parts you have working in the categories listed below, or create a new category. Please keep alphabetical order inside the categories. The categories themselves are ordered by popularity. Please list any caveats or problems as well.

  • ONLY add hardware that you have TESTED. Don't add hardware just because you think it might work.
  • Please add hardware into tables.
  • This is for 10.10.3 builds only.

  • TP Link WDN4800 works out of the box
  • Ethernet Network with AppleIntelE1000e v3.1.0a kext
  • Realtec ALC898 driver + HDA enabler Audio ID 1
    (make sure to shut down completely after installing
    and change sound output to internal speakers after starting again)
  • GTX780 works out of the box
  • Got random freezes. Supposedly related to using 4 DIMM slots.
    Tips where:
    Install the F8M bios for this board. See link
    This bios made my freezes less frequent.
    Upping the voltage for memory by 0,5 volts and loosen memory timings made the freezing problem go away, at least as far as i can tell.
  • Alternative solution to freezes Open in /extra the org.chameleon.Boot.plist file. Set GeneratePstates and GenerateCstates to 'No". Running F10b bios at the moment with no freezes so far. With P and C states to "yes" the system would freeze in 5 minutes. Perhaps freezes not so much related to 4 DIMM slots and/or voltages. F8m bios might more be a fix for the P and C states than for anything else. P.s Speedstep still works. Sleep also still works. Can be checked with Intel Power Gadget.
