This is a component level hardware compatibility list. We want to keep it as accurate as possible, but please, do not entirely rely on this list when buying hardware.   • tonymacx86 Xmove Guide works fine too: [3]
  • For installation and first time boot you will need to boot with -x flag<br />
  • First time setup also requires you to disable 'Legacy USB' in the Bios to boot into installation if using a PS2 keyboard.

If however you only have a USB keyboard, you have to enable 'legacy USB' and use USBBusFix=Yes when booting up to allow installation to continue with USB devices. This can the be later added into boot.plist<br />

  • When finally installed, use MultiBeasts Easybeast Option to install required kexts.<br />
  • For Audio, you can use voodoohda but that doesn't have a function volume adjuster.. meaning volume is on or off

For full functioning Audio, use ViaHDA kext [4] Go to S/L/E and remove voodoohda, then drag the viahda kext to kext utility to install<br />

  • For video to work install ATY_init.kext from Atkas.org using Kextshelper. GraphicsEnabler=yes, NVEnabler and NVInject tested not working correctly.
  • For Audio, you can use the latest voodoohda that works under both 32 / 64 bit

After installation you'll have to boot once with Chameleon from USB Drive, then create the /Volumes/Extra folder and install Chameleon to your HDD. After rebooting you have to install Realtek 81xx kext from here http://lnx2mac.blogspot.com/p/realtekrtl81xx-osx-driver.html , then reboot. You'll have to edit your org.chameleon.Boot.plist and add this to make the Appstore work: <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key><string>Yes</string> Then reboot. Now you may have to run Lizard http://darwinx86.net/software/darwinx86_software.html and make changes to your smbios.plist to make all programs work properly! But i think the org.chameleon.Boot.plist tweak should have fixed the problems. After doing all this you can update to Lion 10.7.3 without problems. I'd recommend to install audio kext after update! I used VoodooHDA.kext and VoodooPrefpane.kext to make it work!

  • Installed MultiBeast for Lion before rebooting
  • Selected 10.7.0 GF100 Driver for Graphics card from MultiBeast before reboot
  • Installed AttansicL1eEthernet.kext and AppleHDA.kext for ALC1200 using Kextbeast before reboot
  • After reboot, went to audio settings to select Line Out
  • Everything works perfectly if you use AppleHDA.kext for the ALC1200, if you try VoodooHDA, it will kernel panic on boot.

I used the [6] Method, however I installed the USB installer onto a separate partition on the same HDD, and then once I had installed OS X lion onto the same HDD (using the USB installer), I deleted the installer partition and resized the HDD to only have the osx Lion partiton for the whole HDD.

I installed chameleon to both the installer partition and the os x lion partition, with the dsdt and the faksmc.kext and boot file.

All Kexts are in the Extra/Extensions folder except the ALC1200 audio kext which is in the System/Library/Extensions folder

Bios is modified to boot Operating systems in AHCI Mode

I used tonymac metod to install the Lion (Snow Leopard working + move). But I also used DSDT Auto-patcher and edited extra folder by Mald0n [8].

  • Audio: AppleHDA.kext from this link: [9] + reboot and after install the acl892 from multibeast.

Reboot again using the HMBT disk, select the lion disk. Install Chameleon, put all Kexts in folders, use Kext utility and restart again, with -v option (if you use a GF fermi card and get a [PCI Configuration] error in bootscreen, use npci=0x2000 flag). Now, use the Champlist to upgrade Chameleon to newer version and if you use a GF fermi card and get a [PCI Configuration] error in bootscreen, select the option npci=0x2000 in flag options!!!
  • Shutdown/Reboot work 99.9% of the time.

  • Install Method: LeoHazard 10.6.6i w/ Legacy kernel + GraphicsEnabler=Yes + NVEnabler + IOatafamily_sata_fix in order to install Snow Leopard, then tonymacx86 MultiBeast in order to install Chimera, then tonymacx86 XMove install guide w/ retail Lion ISO, then boot on Lion installer partition and install Lion over Snow Leopard.

Then in order to boot on Lion first time, remove SleepEnabler + AudioAUUC kexts that cause KP (boot on LeoHazard CDROM + console) and use arch=i386 on command line.

  • Mouse: If you can't bear the terrible OSX mouse acceleration, use SteerMouse
  • Keyboard: In order to map my Dell keyboard w/ GB layout, used the wonderful Ukelele w/ Logitech GB layout
Patches
  • Audio Realtek ALC887: VoodooHDA 0.2.62 kext (MultiBeast method, that is ALC8xxHDA + AppleHDA Rollback + ALC887 HDAEnabler, does not work at all for me, VoodooHDA 0.2.71 causes occasional KP, 0.2.72 and 0.2.73 systematic KP). Edit: VoodooHDA 0.2.62 causes occasional KP too, so found another way out: installed AppleHDA + ALC887HDA kexts from http://www.osx86.net/view/2122-10.7.2applehda_1.9.9f12_for_alc887.html, then used MultiBeast 4.2.1 with Non-DSDT HDAEnabler | ALC887/888b ticked, then run Kext Utility and after restart, select right Line Out in System Preferences Sound | Output.
  • Ethernet: Lnx2Mac RTL81xx 0.0.90
  • SleepEnabler: Nawcom 10.7.0 version causes bad results when go to sleep (computer stops then starts, then stops endlessly), so no sleep so far

edit: I am running HDMI + DVI right now, no issues. no sound from HDMI, all you need is nvdagf100hal.kext modified for this card and agpm.kext modified too.
