HCL 10.7.2
|
This is a component level hardware compatibility list. We want to keep it as accurate as possible, but please, do not entirely rely on this list when buying hardware. Add which parts you have working in the categories listed below, or create a new category. Please keep alphabetical order inside the categories. The categories themselves are ordered by popularity. Please list any caveats or problems as well.
- ONLY add hardware that you have TESTED. Don't add hardware just because you think it might work.
- Please add hardware into tables.
- This is for 10.7.2 builds only.
For how to edit the Wiki, please see this thread. Thank you!

Notes For more kexts I found some when unpacked the P8P67 Pro Install Package (the motherboards are basically the same, google the file name). Be careful installing this over iAtkos though, a boot loader failure may happen. Like I said, instead just unpack the installer and install the kexts needed (some for ATI-graphics for example). Files needed found here |
Kexts
Installed with iAtkos L2 Options in installer: - Just the basics - USB 2.0/3.0 - Graphics enabler - Wifi if you got it etc Additional kexts after install (Installed using Kext Wizard) - Sound: AppleHDA and ALC892HDA51B - Graphics: Nvdia GTX 570 Installed ATY_Init first with Kext Wizard, then ran GTX Enabler from netkas. Only choose option 1 (I have heard that it is better to install ATY_Init seperately) Also installed the Cuda driver after that. You may have to repair permissions and rebuild cache if your system fails to boot up again after this. Do this with Kext Wizard. |

MultiBeast 4.1.0
Note: Needed to add ncpi=0x2000 to Kernel Flags (/Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist) after installing the ComboUpdate. Don't know if it is also used on 10.7.0 and was set by the UniBeast bootloader by default. The install worked without adding any kernel flag. Audio does not work out of the box and not with Drivers & Bootloaders/Kext & Enablers/Audio/Realtek ALC8xx/Non-DSDT HDAEnabler/ALC887-888b. Since I'm using an usb interface, I did ? the others. Someone might add an info to this entry. |
