This is a component level hardware compatibility list. We want to keep it as accurate as possible, but please, do not entirely rely on this list when buying hardware. Add which parts you have working in the categories listed below, or create a new category. Please keep alphabetical order inside the categories. The categories themselves are ordered by popularity. Please list any caveats or problems as well.

  • Using this method (iAtkos) 10.6.8 DOES NOT have to be installed first to get to Lion!! Thanks iAtkos Team... and all the other super users that contribute to this and many other sites!!

Install:

  • Used Base Package Only!! on iAtkos W/Bootloader Chameleon 2.1
  • Install then combo update to 10.7.5.
  • Use DSDT for GA P55A-UD3 F11 Rev 2.0

  • Nothing else!!
  • No Fake Smc plugins needed for hardware monitoring (in Lion) OC away!!
  • If you run into the dreaded boot0 error when rebooting, reparation the drive and reinstall 10.6 with base package only and Chameleon RC 5 Boot loader usually fixes the problem
