This is a component level hardware compatibility list. We want to keep it as accurate as possible, but please, do not entirely rely on this list when buying hardware. Add which parts you have working in the categories listed below, or create a new category. Please keep alphabetical order inside the categories. The categories themselves are ordered by popularity. Please list any caveats or problems as well.

Install method:
  • Create 10.9 OSX USB Installer with Myhack. Install it using CSM Enabled and everything on LEGACY OPROM. If black screen appears after boot, use "PciRoot=1".
  • Then when system is working an properly patched (see Patches section) install Clover Bootloader, using UEFI Install options, and marking 64bit UEFI Drivers ( AmiOptio, Data Hub and RC Scripts on disk marked ).
  • Once Clover is properly installed, boot to UEFI Bios, deactivate CSM, and boot from UEFI Clover partition, and select boot options for OSX : Boot without caches & Injected Kexts. System should work fine.

Patches:

  • Patched ALC898 on AppleHDA. Use the "multi-tool" you like "beast" :-)
  • Install Intel and Realtek Lan Drivers. Same as above.

I boot from my raid so I cannot use UEFI yet. I will purchase a SSD one day or a thunderbolt pegasus r6 :P but till then here is my f12 DSDT that enable HDMI AUDIO FOR HD3000, Most Nvidia, and Most AMD cards. Here is a how to for enabling advanced drives to boot from osx also:

How I fixed my Rocketraid RAID10 with 4 (2tb) drives wd ears advanced format green's boot0 error I'm sure it works on other advanced format drives as well:

All done without linux *requires a separate lion installation*

boot into your seperate lion os

open disk utility and unmount your lion raid partition

run showallfiles and copy /usr/standalone/i386/boot1h to the root of your currently running os

open terminal sudo su cd / ls (you should see boot1h in the dir) diskutil list dd if=boot1h of=/dev/disk0s2 (this is my disk partition find yours! using the diskutil list) I repeated the dd command 5 times just to be sure it "sticked". reboot and make sure your raid is the booting hard drive enjoy :)

Working with Driver and Wireless utility : http://www.edimax.com/images/Image/Driver_Utility/Wireless/NIC/EW-7811Un/EW-7811Un_Mac_driver_v1.0.0.5.zip Utility is "for" a similar EDIMAX adapter but NONE of the other software (from AirLink or Realtek themselves or the above ASUS driver package) would work. Upon installing this software and restart device suddenly showed up under USB devices and is configurable through the included Wireless Utility (which you can "quit" once it is set up with your WiFi settings).

Tested and working great. Great signal, and good speed despite the tiny size.
