macOS 10.9.1 Hardware Compatibility Portable Computers Desktop Computers Hardware Components

This is a hardware compatibility list for portable computers. We want to keep it as accurate as possible, but please, do not entirely rely on this list when buying a portable computer. Don't forget to add how you got OSx86 running on your portable x86 computer, and to use proper English. Please see the discussion page for proper instructions on how to input your system specs. Also, please contribute to the HCL 10.9.1 page, which should list a more granular view of compatibility. If your computer isn't listed, you should try it if you have a SSE2 or higher processor. Use vanilla kernel if it is supported.

• ONLY add hardware that you have TESTED. Don't add hardware just because you think it might work.
• Please add hardware into tables.
• This is for 10.9.1 builds only.

• Install Method: OS X Install Mountain Lion 10.8.5 with Chameleon 2.2.
• Bootloader: Chameleon 2.2svn 2262 (Enoch bootloader bu ErmaC) Enoch r2262
• Kernel: Vanilla 64-bit mach_kernel and extensions.
• Kexts: Need Kexts for battery, wi-fi, Ethernet, SATA (as Internal disk)
• Battery: working with VoodooBattery.kext and rollback of AppleACPIPlatform.kext from 10.6.7
• IMPORTANT: For the PCI Configuration Begin problem you must replace the AppleACPIPlatform.kext (from Snow Leopard 10.6.7) and modded IOPCIFamily.kext (I have the 2.7 version modded by me from the netkas version)

1. Make a copy of the Maveriks DMG on USB
2. Replace all kexts with the modified FakeSMC in both /Extra/Extensions and /System/Library/Extensions
3. Install the bootloader (opt for the original or one from ErMAC)
4. Boot with -v -f GraphicsEnabler=Yes
5. Format the HDD in Disk Utility as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" and change the partition table to "GUID Partition Table"
6. Install the system
7. Boot from the installed system and replace the kexts
8. Enjoy the System! :)

• Create the USB stick from the App store image and run MyHack for Mavericks. DISABLE Virtualization in the BIOS and turn OFF consistent fan running.
• Side note, booting is sometimes a problem, so just follow all the guidelines from MyHack. It is recommended that you update BEFORE installing the drivers to avoid any kernel panics.
