This is a component level hardware compatibility list. We want to keep it as accurate as possible, but please, do not entirely rely on this list when buying hardware. Add which parts you have working in the categories listed below, or create a new category. Please keep alphabetical order inside the categories. The categories themselves are ordered by popularity. Please list any caveats or problems as well.

  • ONLY add hardware that you have TESTED. Don't add hardware just because you think it might work.

  • Connected USB Reader leads to BIOS read errors during boot!

'Installation Notes:

  • Install using "Niresh's OSX 10.9 Mavericks" with boot flags "amdfx" for AMD FX Series CPUs or "amd64" for other AMD CPUs (w/o quotes), "GraphicsEnabler=No" and "NPCI=0x2000".
  • Update using official 10.9.4 combo update, copy BSA AMD Kernel for 10.9.4 to root directory, install audio and lan kext and finally reboot with boot flag "kernel" (w/o quotes). You can rename "kernel" in root directory to "mach_kernel" after renaming or deleting the original "mach_kernel" if you want to auto boot with the amd kernel. THIS MUST BE DONE AS ROOT IN SINGLE-USER MODE (-s bootflag)!!!!!!!!!
