. Ok i have got as far as the disk utility formated my disk but its sayin disk canot be mounted I have tried the first aid option to no avail tried erase diffrent options still not mounting. what am I doing wrong? . . .

Reply: Make sure that you use "erase" and set it to "mac os extended (journaled)" .

Apple Motherboards?

Can I simply use an Apple Motherboard? I imagine I need to install something closer to the usual Mac OS X if I do this. If so, does this limit my choices for other hardware, like video, sounds, and raid cards? Thanks, Jeff .
