This is a component level hardware compatibility list. We want to keep it as accurate as possible, but please, do not entirely rely on this list when buying hardware. Add which parts you have working in the categories listed below, or create a new category. Please keep alphabetical order inside the categories. The categories themselves are ordered by popularity.   • After installation download Multibeast and add the internet drivers for Official Realtek 2.0.6 driver for 81xx Ethernet controllers.
  • also if you have a ps/2 board use a numkey for laptop and you resolve the problem at the start that says before begin please connect a mouse that resolve that problem to resolve the problem whit icloud and app store just download the last version of chimera.

- Retail (Used UniBeast to make bootable installer from 10.7.0 DMG)

  • Installed 10.7.0
  • Installed 10.7.2 Combo update from USB stick
  • Installed MultiBeast for Lion before rebooting
  • Selected 10.7.2 GF100 Driver for Graphics card from MultiBeast before reboot
  • Installed AttansicL1eEthernet.kext and AppleHDA.kext for ALC1200 using Kextbeast before reboot
  • After reboot, went to audio settings to select Line Out
  • Everything works perfectly if you use AppleHDA.kext for the ALC1200, if you try VoodooHDA, it will kernel panic on boot.

Notes For more kexts I found some when unpacked the "P8P67 Pro Install Package" (the motherboards are basically the same, google the file name). Be careful installing this over iAtkos though, a boot loader failure may happen. Like I said, instead just unpack the installer and install the kexts needed (some for ATI-graphics for example).

Installation: I tried to upgrade my Snow Leopard Installation with tonymac86's guide but i failed.

The Installer-partition was not fully bootable until I copied my SL-/Extra onto it.

Afterwards Installation was possible and i did a fresh install.

Patches via Multibeast 4.0.3:
  • ALC8xxHDA + ALC889 HDAEnabler
  • 3rdParty SATA + eSATA + JMicron36x (not sure if needed)
  • ElliotForceLegacyRTC
  • FakeSMC
  • Lnx2Mac's RealtekRTL81xx
  • Chimera v1.5.4 r1394
  • Kernelflags: npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=yes (for full QE/CI with Asus GeForce EN210 Silent)

Sleep:

  • To fix the CMOS reset after sleep look here
  • To fix reboot after wake make sure you tick the two boxes in energy preferences: automatic restart on power failure and automatic restart on freeze(!)
  • BIOS: Suspend mode S3
  • Also had to disable wake by USB, otherwise Magic Trackpad (or the bluetooth adapter) wakes the system after going to sleep (is there a fix?)
